Deployment Specification
Deployment Specification
A deployment specification is an artifact that specifies a set of properties that governs the way an artifact will execute on a node. Typically a deployment specification specifies the properties for a particular type of execution environment. It is itself a type of artifact and therefore a classifier and can have instances.

Explanation

A deployment specification is used to describe a number of properties that specify how a deployed artifact will execute on the node on which it is deployed. It is a mechanism to parameterize the deployment of an artifact, allowing a number of aspects of the way the artifact will execute to be separated from the artifact itself. This separation has become a standard practice in many hardware and software environments. A deployment specification is usually tailored to the particular type of artifact and the specific node or execution environment to which the artifact is deployed, such as deployment descriptors for enterprise java beans in the java environment.

Deployment (nested)  Used Together
A Deployment (nested) is related to a deployment specification because the deployment is being described by the deployment specification. A deployment describes the relationship between an artifact and the node on which it executes, the deployment specification specifies the properties for the way it will execute.
Dependency
Dependency  Used Together
A dependency is a related to a deployment specification because it is the relationship that is used to relate a deployment specification to the deployment. The arrowhead points to the artifact (supplier) and the tail of the dependency is attached to the deployment specification. The artifact described by the deployment specification is expected to be located on a node.
Deployment Specification Instance
Deployment Specification Instance  Instance of,  Instance of
